Get a pencil portrait of your dog cat horse son daughter loved ones at The Portrait Shop

Here at The Portrait Shop you can commission a variety of different portraits of both people and animals. All portraits are drawn by artist Coralie Martlew at her home in the Eden Valley in Cumbria. Coralie uses high quality pencils, paper and drawing tools to achieve a unique, photo-realistic likeness of your subject. Each piece takes many hours to produce, so enquiries are encouraged to discuss your portrait requirements.

See the full portrait range below, including sizes and prices:

Pet

  • Available in standard sizes A5, A4 and A3
  • Prices (excl. postage) for a single pet are:
    • A5 – £70
    • A4 – £120
    • A3 – £170
  • Multiple pets in a portrait will incur an additional 25% per extra subject (e.g. two dogs on A5 would be £87.50)
  • Photographs of the subject should be of high resolution with a close-up of the face. Details such as bridles and collars can be included at no extra cost.
  • If you wish to include full or parts of the animal’s body as well, this can be accommodated too, as long as the photo is good quality.

People

  • People portraits include baby, child and family
  • Baby and child portraits are available in the following sizes and prices (excl. postage):
    • A5 – £40
    • A4 – £60
  • Family portraits (two or more people) are available in the following sizes and prices (excl. postage):
    • A4 – from £120
    • A3 – from £160
  • Photographs of the subject should be of high resolution with a close-up of the face. The focus should be on the profile (side-on) as this is the unique focus of my portraiture.
  • If a profile shot isn’t possible, a face-on portrait can certainly be accommodated.

Mixed

  • Available in standard sizes A4 and A3
  • Prices (excl. postage) are:
    • A4 – from £140
    • A3 – from £200
  • Photographs of the subjects should be of high resolution and can either be both in the same shot or separate photos that I then draw side-by-side.

Photos

It's really important to provide a high quality digital photograph for your portrait. I have some tips in my FAQ page and I'll be dedicating my first blog post to this topic (coming soon!).
